places

Turkey

HOTEL GÜLEÇ - Pension with a killer outdoor space, awesome breakfasts, and way close to the sea

The House Apart - For serious! This place was amazing, in the heart of the Beyoğlu area of Istanbul, where the people of Istanbul hang out. The buildings are amazing, and the restaurants a blast. Check out our review here.

Greece:

Casa Antika - Rhodes Town Getaway

Chrysa Studios - Best views of Lindos and the sea with the best patio ever

Samsons Village - The innkeeper, John, was the best dude ever. Think, dusty weekend cottage, on the Mediterranean, with unlimited beach chairs.

Athens Lotus Hotel - Right beside the major tourist area in Athens, is a cool Greek part of town for foreigners to stay. This is also within walking distance to the super hip Persefonis area

Croatia:

Villa Nonna - Tops, super clean, super nice, nothing more to say.

Hotel Kuljis - Killer homemade dinners, local wine, dangerous aperitifs, killer sea views.

Budapest:

Prater Residence - Mod in Budapests VIII district, red lights and historical sights.

Norbert's Place - Literally, some dudes apartment we rented for a week, it was great!

Chile:

Hostal el Refugio - This was suppose to be our home in Chile, but plans changed. Either way a cozy warm great place to stay in Pucon.

Ethno Hostel - We crashed here a night on our way to San Martin and Bariloche Argentina. Awesome beans, cheese, and eggs breakfast. Also way warn, this was our first night in the Chilean winter after coming from a Toronto summer and it was perfectly warm and cozy.

Via Via Cafe - Art Deco and Belgium, what a concept

Bellavista Home B&B - A last minute stay, cozy, welcoming, and a flare of a for art live work space still owned by the original artist.

Argentina:

Hosteria La Raclette - We stumbled on this place for a night, and ended up going back for a week, Alejandro is the best!

Hostel Arko - We schedule three weeks for ski season, but there was no snow. If there was snow it would have been a badass three weeks.

Plaza Italia - 2.5 weeks at one place and we never tired, these people are tops, but not the place where you can be a scummy backpacker. I think our running shoes would have become a problem after a while :).

El Cortijo - So worth every penny, spend the money to get a superior room

Casa Hernandez - Run by fun Dutchies, super clean, way chill, northing more is needed.

La Cantera Jungle Lodge - Another splurge, we gave ourselves a little honeymoon in the jungle.

Paris:

Hotel Le Squara

London/UK:

Ten Manchester Street Hotel

Priory Bay - This place was kinda nuts.

Guatemala:

La Casa del Mundo - Hot tubs, volcanos, on a cliffside, check out our review here.
Costa Rica:

Hotel De Haan

El Sano Banano

Kalon Surf Resort - What, this place is over the top.
